The S-Works Tarmac is a top-level, 6.8kg race machine, right out of the box. - 'Aero is everything'—we've been preaching it for years and it's still the driving force for the new Tarmac. In our quest for tube shapes that deliver the fastest frame that the UCI rules allow, we took a page out of the Venge development book and utilized our FreeFoil Shape Library. Armed with a library of optimized shapes, we turned to the Win Tunnel to plug these shapes into a modular test bike, for more testing and validation. The result? A new Tarmac that's the fastest we've tested—45 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6. No compromises, just pure speed. - Building on the learnings from the Venge, the new Tarmac utilizes simple integration to create a clean, fast cockpit that's easy to live with. We've improved the routing for any configuration — mechanical shifting, traditional stems, round bars, etc. — all while keeping its aerodynamic attributes. These same traits also make the new Tarmac easy to work on and easy to travel with. It's a win-win. - Continuing our quest to develop the perfect race bike, we used our Rider-First Engineered philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced, best handling Tarmac yet—no matter the size. With an army of the world's best test riders from our three World Tour Teams — Boels-Dolmans, Deceuninck-Quick-Step, and Bora-hansgrohe — we made changes to the Tarmac based on their thousands of kilometers on the road. We balanced the ride quality between the front and rear end, so even the longest days in the saddle continue to be comfortable—all without giving up anything to the Tarmac's legendary handling and race-winning snappiness. - While aerodynamics were paramount to the Tarmac's development, and to the development of all of our race bikes, weight was the co-pilot on this optimal race bike journey. Previously "aero bikes" always compromised in the weight department—the more drag you reduced, the more weight you gained. With the new Tarmac, our design philosophy was to keep it at, or below, the UCI weight limit out of the box, with no sacrifices to aerodynamics. And with the help of the FreeFoil Shape Library, tools like isotopic FEA analysis, and some engineering wizardry by the best engineers in the industry, we delivered a frame that weighs a mere 800 grams, without giving up a gram of aero, stiffness or ride quality.

ICR Internal Cable Routing is carefully routed along the best path under the stem and through the head tube, with no rub or rattle, and is optimized for both traditional and electronic shifting systems. HIDDEN CLAMP Orca's seat post clamp is smoothly integrated into the frame, decreasing the likelihood of contamination and increasing aerodynamics. Not to mention, it looks great too. SEATPOST CLAMP The sleek and secure clamp of the Orca seat post is a proprietary design that allows tilt adjustments to be made independently of the saddle fore-aft position. INTEGRATION Cables and brake hoses are routed directly inside the stem under an aero cover. A clever headset design and split stem spacers allow the cables to enter the frame while still permitting stem adjustment.

The S5 represents a step even further into the space-age of race-legal aerodynamics. It is the pinnacle of what our engineers call "system thinking", whereby each member of the design team is assigned specific zones of the bike to develop. By focusing on airflow and stiffness in a defined area, the engineers are collectively able to perfect every minutiae of the bike. The end result is the stiffest, fastest, most aero iteration of our most iconic model. All while retaining a superior level of ride quality and usability, in part thanks to the S5's fully adjustable bar and stem system. Pro Fit Cervelo’s Pro Fit offers our lowest frame stack heights to enable an aerodynamic riding position. The Pro Fit is the direct result of input from our pro racers who wanted to get their handlebars as low as possible for maximum aerodynamic advantage. Aero Cable Management The Cervelo frame, fork, handlebars, and associated components are designed to hide brake and shift control lines (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic) from the wind for improved aerodynamics, without sacrificing usability or performance. Floating RDH Our two part floating rear derailleur hanger is designed to allow for easy alignment of the rear dropouts, ensuring that the rear axle can be installed quickly and simply every time. This design also incorporates the rear derailleur hanger and comes in different versions (threaded, RAT style) allowing you to easily update your frame and fork if standards change. BBRight Cervelo developed BBright to take advantage of the fact that oversized frame tubes are stiffer and lighter. With the BBright system, larger-sized tubes are used in the seat tube, down tube, and left-hand chainstay. The benefit is increased stiffness and pedaling efficiency in a lighter weight frame. BBright is compatible with all major crank standards.
A versatile frameset from OPEN that can be set up to be a very quick road bike, cross, or gravel bike. The tire clearance allows for up to 40mm wide tires (depending on the tire). This frameset is a great go-anywhere bike that is sure to be suitable for all of your gravel/dirt/trail/ and tarmac riding. The carbon layup on the U.P. and U.P.P.E.R. is the right blend of the right carbon in the right places. OPEN strategically places the ultra-high modulus (very stiff) carbon where possible and tougher/more compliant grades of carbon where they must making their frames light and durable. The difference between the U.P. and the U.P.P.E.R. are weight and color: - The U.P.P.E.R. saves 180g over the U.P. (U.P.: 1040g, U.P.P.E.R.: 880g) - The U.P.P.E.R. is available in matte black as where the U.P. is available in green and blue. Both bikes are available in RTP (Ready-To-Paint) if you want to go the custom painting route. NOTE: There is no difference between the U.P. and U.P.P.E.R. in geometry, durability, stiffness, tire clearance, or capacity.
The MIN.D. is a high-performance road bike from OPEN that uses ultra-efficient tube shaping for optimal power transfer while maintaining a low weight and high strength. A continuous seat tube design is intended for extreme comfort and is without gimmicks. The seat tube design is very small (25mm) which adds astonishing comfort to the frame. Removing the seat tube overlap at the top tube also means the seat tube compliance continues uninterrupted. OPEN also added a minimalist seat tube top clamp that is easily adjustable by up to 15mm, slip-proof. Also available is their special MOCT saddle clamp (Measure Once Cut Twice) which is adjustable from 15-35mm. This makes it easier to resell your frame ALTHOUGH, OPEN says that you will 'probably never want to lose your MIN.D. OPEN also creates comfort through the frame shape and layup, in particular, the seat tube and seat stays. The tire clearance fits modern road tires up to 32mm. Since tire labeling can be unreliable, always check the tire clearance with the frame. The aim for the frame geometry behind the MIN.D. is to offer a comfortable fit geometry that OPEN classifies as a 'sportive' geometry. The ONE+ is the zero-compromise XC racing machine from OPEN. Boost; a BB92 bottom bracket and OPEN's Thru-Thread thru-axle, the drivetrain increases in stiffness from the original O-1.0 while new Wire-stays improve vertical compliance and traction. A dozen tweaks later, the ONE+ is a much much better frame than what OPEN ever thought possible. Boost also increases tire clearance meaning it now fits a range of 29er XC tires and 27.5+ semi-fat tires. The ONE+ fits tires up to 29 x 2.4" and put to 27.5 x 3.0" for M and L as well as up to 27.5 x 2.4" & 26 x 3.0" for size S to ensure a 6mm clearance between tire and frame. The OPEN U.P. inspired a generation of gravel bikes that could fit up to 2.1-inch tires; called the WI.DE. (Winding Detours). This bike can run even bigger tires while still fitting road cranks. The flip-chip in the fork-we call it the Trail Mixer-keeps the trail measurement consistent whether you choose 700c or 650b tires. This maintains the bike's personality and handling characteristics when you switch from mid-fats to full-fat.
