Introducing the latest 3T Exploro. The LTD version is 3T’s ultralight (sub-1000 gram) frame, with roadie-friendly flat mount brakes and 12mm thru axles.

Keeping with the roadie theme and staying away from large cassettes and mountain bike derailleurs, we’ve built this bike with SRAM’s Red eTap group set, with 3T’s 9-32 cassette and a Rotor 36t chainring. The 36/32 gear allows for easily climbing those steep, loose gravel sections, while a 36/9 is still a fairly hard gear, equivalent to a 52/13, plenty for most gravel grinders.

For this initial build, the wheel of choice is the brand new (and crazy light) Enve G23 700c, weighing 300 grams for the set. Because of the Exploro’s dropped chain stay on the drive side, which allows for more clearance in an otherwise cluttered part of the bike, this whip is also ready for Enve’s G27 650b wheel with clearance up to 55mm tires, for the more serious terrain. Going the other direction, this bike would feel at home on a road-ride with a deep-section road wheel set and some 28mm tires, and a slightly larger chainring (although not required).

Finally, this aggressive race-ready bike is completed with Easton’s EC90 SL stem and the S-Works Aerofly drop bar.
